Into the Highlands on Day two of the Scottish leg of the trip. Passing through the Trossachs and past Loch Lomond, the driving is fantastic and the views spectacular.
Glencoe is known for its eerie feel, as well as being the location for the James Bond film, Skyfall.
Today also includes a rare treat, as Jimmy Stewart of Classic Fabs has invited us to tour the Classic Fabs premises outside Fort William, and then partake of a fine lunch at the Ben Nevis Distillery. This was one of the highlights of the Drive last year, so we thank you in advance, Jimmy!
Today’s end-stage is the lovely seaside town of Plockton, location for TV’s Hamish Macbeth, as well as some more Wicker Man! With views over the loch, Plockton Hotel makes for a relaxing and attractive end point.
“I was delighted to wave the flag marking the next stage of the XK Club Round Britain Coastal Drive. The dedicated drivers are travelling thousands of miles to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK and their efforts and dedication are to be applauded. I hope everyone taking part enjoys our stunning scenery and renowned hospitality and I wish them all the best.”
