RBCD Stage 10 - Rhiconich harbour
It was about this stage on September’s RBCD that we ran out of superlatives – words really can’t describe the continuing stark beauty of the Highlands.
Heather-clad hills and mountains, meandering roads - almost free of traffic - that skirt lochs and plenty of stopping places, make today a treat on every level.
The regions of Ross-shire & Cromartyshire and Sutherland are some of the most remote and sparsely-populated in the country, which certainly contributes to the almost other-wordly feel of some of the vistas.
With mountains behind and Loch Inchard ahead, The Rhiconich Hotel was a suitably scenic place to finish today’s drive.
