Waving as we pass by the northernmost tip of Scotland, we head down to another trip highlight – Dunbeath Castle. Home to an E-type enthusiast and his wife, we have, as last year, been invited to lunch. An almost magical location, you can look at images online, but pictures simply do not do it justice. Enjoy a delicious meal and take a turn around the gardens with our kind hosts before setting off back down to Inverness.
Inverness, home to author Josephine Tey, Dr Who Companion Karen Gillan and a handful of politicians including Yvette Cooper and Charles Kennedy, is situated at the very northernmost tip of Loch Ness. Finish today at the Macdonald Drumrossie Hotel, on the outskirts of the city.
